I have a large collection of Vintage Books, I've started a little series of paintings which is proving very popular with collectors!
The battered book cover is a lovely surface to paint on, and takes the paint really well.
The colour of this worn cover was perfect for a hazy, distant landscape, I've carefully mounted it to preserve the tatty, battered pages. I ver unusual wook of art indeed!
I have mounted the book flat onto an 3mm A4 stained wooden panel and framed it in a white stained wooden box frame.
