Lime Hawk Moth

As well as my collection of Observer Books I have many other vintage books in varying states of disrepair. This cover was from a Victorian music folio that was rescued from a bin.

The vintage book cover is a lovely surface to paint on, and takes the paint really well. I have sealed and prepared the surface and after painting applied acrylic wax varnish to further seal and protect. The painting is simply framed in a white stained wooden tray frame.
