The Observer's Book of Houseplants

I have a large collection of Observer Books, with a few duplicates. I've used some of these duplicates to start a little series of paintings which is proving very popular with collectors!
The vintage book cover is a lovely surface to paint on, and takes the paint really well.

I've used colourful Begonia leaves as my suubject, they really zing against the green. I've framed the book jacket in a contemporary, sculptural way, without glazing, set in a chunky block. It can be hung on a wall or placed on a bookshelf alongside your Observer's Book collection maybe?
