Wa-Wa-Na-Quas-Sick or The Place of Many Good Stones
A small collection of works on paper; inspired by wintry days on the coast and the moors..
The title, from a native american dialect, roughly translates to the place of many good stones. Cairns , carns in cornish, were originally used many many thousands of years ago as trail markers to signify a water or food source or to mark an important site, maybe a burial or a battle. Nowadays a decorative feature left by visitors to pebbly beaches.
