Waiting For The Fill Of The Tide

This painting is currently being exhibited at The Tap Gallery in Essex

There's something about coastal phrasing and desciption that's so poetic. I love the thought of the tide filling as an alternative to rising. It conjures up images of vessels and bowls which my abstract boat shapes often resemble. And waiting; that's so much of a life spent attuned to nature, waiting for the seasons to change, th crops to grow; the tide to fill.
