Water's Edge - No apologies for featuring Oystercatchers again. They are my firm favouries, both visually and also for their peeping and chattering, they always make me smile. This painting is inspired by the rocky beach over the road. When the tide is out, especially on a spring tide, a large group of these beautiful coastal birds meets up. You can hear them from the house!
Oh, you may like this...In Padstow, a town in which I have spent many happy holidays, there is an apartment block tucked away called Water's Edge. For many years I thought it was called Water Sedge, after a plant maybe? My brain does read things strangely, I still call LinkedIn "Lin-ked-in", I completely missed the point and had to have it explained!
Many layers in this painting, collage, dry media, and love! 20.5cm x 15.5cm wood panel framed in a 21.5cm x 16.5cm x 5cm stained white chunky tray frame that can free stand or be hung.
