All Was Still

Both the concept of standing still, firm and unshakeable as these old mine workings are and being still. Being centred, calm, grounded and at peace.

The beautiful moors and their rich, deep history were my inspiration. Magical, wild and so beautiful.

As usual this is a many layered painting, encompassing handwritten and hand painted collaged pieces, acrylic paint, inks and dry media.
