Layers of the Past

Do you ever play 'the other life' game, or 'what I'm going to be when I grow up?'  I think if I wasn't an artist I'd be an archeologist. The thought that clues to previous lives are there, under our feet, buried by silt and ages is fascinating. This painting celebrates that thought, what lies beneath? our feet? the farmer's field? the ocean's floor?
